Megan Williams, Veterinary Assistant

Megan, originally from Colorado, moved to Hawaii to attend college. In school, Megan’s love for animals led her to become interested in science and medicine. She finds the veterinary field to be the perfect blend of these interests, and serving the families of her community to be rewarding work. Kailee Lyons, Vet Assistant

Friendly Pilina Vet team providing compassionate veterinary care for pets in Kailua, Hawaii.

From Kailua, Kailee graduated from Le Jardin Academy where she graduated with both a high school and IB Diploma. She later went on to achieve a Bachelors of Science in Animal Science from UC Davis in California. In California, Kailee spent time volunteering at a pop-up clinic for houseless families, where she gained experience with Kailee Lyons, Vet Assistant

Dana Bogan, VP of Operations

From Spokane, Washington, VP of Operations Dana relocated to the island in 2022 with her husband, Matt. The same year, Dana joined the Pilina Vet team as an Experience Maximizer, eventually taking on the role of VP of Operations. Outside of Pilina Vet, Dana enjoys playing tourist, visiting other parts of the island to hike, Dana Bogan, VP of Operations

Joleen Pregil, Vet Nurse, RVT

Born and raised on island, Veterinary Nurse Joleen joined the Pilina Vet team first as an intern in spring of 2022 from Windward Community College, eventually graduating top of her class as a registered veterinary technician (RVT). Joleen later agreed to formally join the Pilina Vet Team for good! Joleen is also Fear Free certified Joleen Pregil, Vet Nurse, RVT

Franz Federschmidt, CEO

Welcoming team at Pilina Vet veterinary clinic in Kailua, Hawaii, dedicated to compassionate pet care and community support.

CEO Franz, originally from Florida, came to love the Kailua community while stationed here over a decade ago as a P-C3 Naval Flight Officer. While here, he and Dr. Sara became acquainted, and later married in Waimanalo. At Pilina Vet, Franz has many roles. For the clinic, he maintains the budget and finances, assists with Franz Federschmidt, CEO
